So PC World bring us the Sony Walkman NWZ-B143, and they only ask for £40. It stores 4GB worth of mp3's and media. The battery lasts for 18 hours, but in Quick Charge mode it charges in just three minutes and plays for 90 minutes. Rechargeable batteries definitely beats buying new batteries every time! Plus it features ZAPPIN song search mode. At this price, PC World really know how to dish out the Christmas bargains!

I just received one of these after my last Sony Walkman's battery was exhausted. I tried to pair this up with my X-Mini lava speaker and found the volume quite low. This means I am unable to fill a room with music like with my last MP3 player and the Ipods I occassionally allow to be connected to it when with friends. I have found one other review pointing out the low sound on the web and wish I had found it when I was googling the unit before I bought it.

probably still a good unit if you are not trying to pair it with an external speaker though right? like Running or exercising. I hear they are trying to make a law to limit the volume on all portable audio devices to reduce hearing damage....eeeker...
