we got one of these for my daughter at xmus last year .
it has 512 meg of ram win xp home and this has been a great
notebook she uses it 2or 3 times a week for 3 hours at a time
and we have had no problems
i was going to upgrade ram but it runs fast enough(not a gamer)
just to surfs the web and to do homework it has been on every night
now that school started and we have had no problems
its is a better than my toshiba but it has vista on it
and the biggest problem with my toshiba is i hate
vista it has done better now that sp1 has been installed
but i still have to think and try to guess my way
around in the control panel in vista
the bottom line is the vostrol 1000 is a great deal
but it is just a little heavy but its built like a tank
for heavy service most people that there company buys there laptops are
pertty rough on them and dell took this and made them a little thougher
